I was fascinated by the idea of writing from the perspective of another person. Even an object. Reflecting on that I remembered childhood books like “The Little Engine That Could.” “I think I can, I think I can.” Intended to promote strivings in children using the words of an object!”

I think I can…Thanks Gail, thanks Jay.

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm Gary!

I find that often a few degrees of separation from self and environment can open doors I didn't even know I'd locked. Inanimate objects... animals... imaginary beings. So many options!

I once read -- "If you don't think adults can handle it, write for children."

Can a writer write for the child who is locked inside of an adult? 😂

Our friends who moved to Ojai, CA, and from whom we bought our home, have a daughter that also lives in CA. We still receive mail for her. Today a catalog titled Naked Cashmere arrived. Seems they really promote cashmere sweaters and the goats from whence the wool came. Despite eyebrow raising prices they could only afford one model. She wasn’t naked either. Writing copy for upper end clientele might grow old rapidly?! More rapidly than paint chip namers?
