One of your most inspiring pod blogs I’ve heard to date.

Jay, I think you remarked on your challenge saying, “Steps and my disease aren’t good bedfellows.” Then you went ahead with this step challenge?! I heard you say, “72 steps” a number of times. Then later described descending the steps. 72 + 72 = 144 steps! If you chose to say the step count, does “144 steps” have greater verbal impact than “a gross of steps?”

From my days of backpacking, over 45 years ago, I can fully agree that descending is a greater challenge. My loaded pack was around 65# - 70# at the outset. I had to be the pack mule since my wife weighed about 110#. The steep descents left me seeing myself tumbling head over heels from one misstep.

I feel certain you’ll both get a kick out of how I tried to get started today. My usual approach is to search my Gmail for the day’s prompt. (And my morning has been busy and filled with distractions) And there you were. OL,OL. Jay and Gail. When I clicked in I was surprised to see MY comments already logged! I suspected some form of time travel had occurred. Which in a manner it had. I was on 2024, July 18th. 😞

That illustrates the importance of being present and attentive. Plenty glad I wasn’t launching nuclear missiles. I’m looking forward to next week, Gail and Jay. 🌞

I’m plenty glad that nobody is launching nuclear missiles Gary. 😅

Your opening mathematical astuteness drew my awareness to the number of episodes OLOL has offered… 78 and counting. One episode at a time.

Thank you for being here and adding your voice to our conversation Gary. I agree… Jay’s willingness to engage those steps is incredibly inspiring!
