What a great installment in the “One Line, One Love” PodBlog, Gail and Jay! Perhaps an awkward descriptor of what I heard, Gail, is “The Life of a Story.”
Your calm choice of the elements of your cancer journey seemed to use the perspective of another person. An observer? In my mind that approach allows the prospective reader to form their own opinions, and to not feel obligated to agree with the author.
As I sometimes say, the two of you as fellow writers and friends lighten up the prospects of writing, and provide tips on how you go about your own writing methodology! Without the first steel-edged ruler. 🌞

Thank you for sharing what you heard Gary. 👂🏻(some emojis, like this ear, crack me up!)
Regarding your mention of a steel-edged ruler…
I have benefited significantly from connections and conversations that non-teach.
Isn’t it refreshing when somebody leaves room (and trusts you!) to think for yourself? To experiment with doing things your own way?
You have done that for me with many of your comments on my stories.
Much appreciation!
