An illuminating exchange today, Gail and Jay! I’ve heard so often that the best writers or painters and other artists are by nature troubled souls. Hearing today that accepting ourselves, bumps and bruises not withstanding, results in writing authentically, caught me by surprise. Exposing our souls in the process. Thanks to you both!

Thank you Gary.

This morning I came across a poem by Albert Huffstickler. I think the poet beautifully shares what Jay and I were talking about in the last sentence of his poem.

Yes! The ending of Albert Huffstickler’s piece seems to fit like a velvet glove to your own style and beliefs. Thanks for passing it on.

When crickets happen, it is hard to feel encouraged. It slips us into the judgement zone. I like that you mentioned this could be a gift to keep growing. Pause and enjoy whatever comes your way.
